Summer Rec Swim Team Meet Assistant

CLOSING DATE: Open until filled

PAY RANGE: $12.97-15.56, depending on qualifications

STATUS: Part Time Temporary – May 1st -August 5th

DEPARTMENT: Legacy Center

JOB SUMMARY: Assist Meet Manager and Volunteer Coordinator in hosting Summer Rec Swim Meets. Assignments may include:

• Ribbons: Coordinating, organizing, and awarding swimmers for progress and accomplishments
• Bullpen: Ensure Meets flow smoothly by placing swimmers in order of events, heats, and lanes prior to event start
• Computers – Colorado System: Ensure accurate operation of Colorado Computer Timing System
• Computers – Times and Results: Creating accurate reports of results of Swim Meet, including disqualifications
• Head Official: Act as lead official and coordinate team officials for all home Swim Meets and County Meets
• Starter: Ensure fair starts and assisting in officiating as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Good communicator with adults and youth, attention to details, high level of organization, works well in a fast-paced environment, experience with competitive swimming, and recreation programs.
