PAY RATE: $13.56 - $18.99 (Depending on qualification and certification level)

SCHEDULE:

• Monday - Friday: 4:00 - 7:00 pm (Summer practices held Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 10:00 am)

DEPARTMENT: Recreation

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working with swimmers ages 6-18 on various points of stroke technique, endurance and speed.
• Required to be at all practices for assigned group: Monday through Friday: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Summer practices held Monday through Friday: 5 AM to 9 AM, and swim meets are usually held on weekends. Coaching contract is reviewed annually for all assistant coaches.

• Previous swimming and coaching experience.
• Organized
• Ability to work well with other coaches, parents and swimmers.
• Level 1 ASCA Certified Swim Coach, which is comprised of USA Swimming Foundations of Coaching 101 & 201 courses.
• Coaches Safety Training for Swim Coaches.
• CPR and First Aid certified.
• Athlete Protection Training Completion (found on usaswimming.org).
• Background check through USA Swimming (found on usaswimming.org).
• Certifications must be obtained within 45 days of hire, if not previously certified.
